Atmospheric Water Generator
The atmospheric water generator (AWG ) is a device for extracting water from moisture in the air ( RH).O gerador atmosférico de água (AWG) é um dispositivo que permite extrair água a partir da humidade existente no ar (HR). Water vapor that exists in the air is condensed through its cooling, exposed to the desiccant air or by their pressurization. Unlike a dehumidifier, atmospheric water generator is designed to produce potable water. An atmospheric water generator (AWG ) is a compressor that circulates a refrigerant through a condenser and an evaporator coil that cools the air that surrounds ( 2 ) . A speed-controlled fan pushes the filtered air over the coil ( 1 ) . This process causes the air temperature to lower the dew point, causing the water to condense.The resulting water from this process is passed through a holding tank ( 3) with the purification and filtering system (5) to help maintain pure water and reduce the risk of viruses and bacteria which can be collected from the ambient air, in the evaporator coil.The rate at which water can be produced depends on the relative humidity of the ambient air temperature and the compressor size. Atmospheric water generators become more effective as the relative humidity and the air temperature increases.
